On the 9th – 13th October 2024, Horse of the Year Show will be celebrating its 75th anniversary. To mark the special 75th anniversary year, Grandstand Media Ltd. are delighted to welcome a variety of judges from across the world to step into the Arena of Dreams. To amplify the momentous occasion, a new approach will be taken for the judge announcement process. The judges for each section will not be unveiled until the morning of each final, these judges will take on a number of appointments throughout the week. Grandstand Media Ltd. are always considering ways to adapt and modernise, with a focus on equal opportunity within the sport.

Statement: Intermediate Show Riding Type of the Year 2024

As the 2023 season comes to a close, Grandstand Media Limited is pleased to confirm that the Intermediate Show Riding Type format for Horse of the Year Show 2024 has been finalised. Following the feedback from this year, the 153cm and 158cm height sections will run as one mixed class in 2024, with 19 qualifying opportunities for HOYS located throughout the UK. The winner of the qualifier will take the golden ticket for the final at Horse of the Year Show. Qualification will pass down accordingly, but not below 5th place. The dream came true for Jodie Hall McAteer to take the Leading Showjumper of the Year title 2023

What a way to end the 2023 Horse of the Year Show! The Grand Prix showjumping class on Sunday evening is the one they all want to win and the crowd were treated to some world class showjumping entertainment. Last to go in a jump off round of 12 riders, Jodie Hall McAteer appeared to come out of nowhere to steel the lead from previous winner Harry Charles.
