Horse of the Year Show are delighted to announce the introduction of a new section into the Coloured Horse and Pony classes for 2023.  The new class will allow greater scope for animals that are not naturally coloured to enter the class, as horses and ponies are permitted to be ‘coloured in’ to meet the definitions of the coloured horse or pony. Introduced to HOYS in 1998, the classes have proven a very popular addition to the timetable, and the show is keen to allow competitors to express their creative flair in this new addition.  All coloured in variations will be accepted however extra marks will be given to the

Long known as the premier amateur showing series in the UK, Search for a Star will include a brand new amateur heavy horse in-hand series this year. Further to the success of the Search for a Star Open Veteran Championship last year, the winner of this championship in 2023 will receive a £500 cash prize.
