Grandstand Media Ltd, organisers of Horse of the Year Show, are delighted to announce that the Price Family will return to Horse of the Year Show as class sponsors for the sixth consecutive year in 2021. Confirmed for the next three years, The Price Family is supporting the most coveted In-Hand accolade in the UK; the Supreme In-Hand Championship as well as continuing their support for the Mini Show Pony of the Year classes.
The Supreme In-Hand Championship celebrates the supreme light horse or pony shown in-hand, irrespective of breed or type. Widely considered the hardest Championship to qualify for at HOYS, the Champion of each breed at a qualifying show will then compete head-to-head for a place at the final at HOYS. The Supreme In-Hand title in 2019 went to Sally McMillan’s, Heronsmill Tiger Lily out of Copybush Eye of the Tiger.
Darren Price comments: “Horse of the Year Show is a very special occasion for the Price Family, and we have been lucky enough to have some amazing experiences as competitors and sponsors over the years. We really want to continue to support and endorse HOYS, so we were excited when the opportunity arose to sponsor the Supreme In–Hand Championship. We will do this alongside our continued sponsorship of the Mini Show Pony of the Year Championship, both classes work well together with the aim of supporting and encouraging our breeders and developing our young jockeys to continue in our great sport.”
Horse of the Year Show Event Director, Emma Williams, commented: “On behalf of Horse of the Year Show, we would like to thank the Price Family for their continued support of the event. It is paramount for the continuation and success of the event that we have the backing of families like them within the showing community. We are delighted to continue working alongside the Price Family in support of both of these prestigious Championships.”
Horse of the Year Show takes place from 6th – 10th October 2021 at The NEC, Birmingham, bringing together another year of breath-taking displays and unbeatable competition.
