Hamilton Tarmac pledges support to Horse of the Year Show 2021

Mairi Reid News

Hamilton Tarmac have pledged their support to Horse of the Year Show confirming the sponsorship of the Small Show Hunter of the Year Championship at HOYS 2021.Taking on title sponsorship of one of the longest standing classes at HOYS, first taking place in 1954, the class will be named the ‘Hamilton Tarmac Small Show Hunter Championship’.  Open to horses exceeding 148cm but not exceeding 158cm with judges looking for an attractive, well-mannered horse with a workmanlike attitude, the class is fiercely contested throughout the showing season.

Morean Hamilton said it was a natural step for the company who are keen supporters of HOYS: “Hamilton Tarmac are delighted to sponsor the Small Show Hunter Championship at HOYS 2021. As regular attendees at the show, it seemed the natural step, in these difficult times, to pledge our support of HOYS by offering our sponsorship. My husband and I are delighted to be associated with a show that means so much, to so many.”

Based in Ayrshire, Scotland, Hamilton Tarmac, who specialise in road construction, plant hire and the recycling of aggregate products, also compete a team of show horses produced and ridden by Kirstine Douglas.

Horse of the Year Show Event Director, Emma Williams, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Morean Hamilton and the team as new sponsors, they have been wonderful supporters of the show as competitors and to see this relationship develop into class sponsors is a transition that we are extremely grateful for.

The Small Show Hunter Championships is a fantastic class steeped in history and tradition; always a favourite at Horse of the Year Show we cannot wait to welcome competitors into the arena once again to contest the Championship.

On behalf of everyone at Horse of the Year Show, we would like to thank Hamilton Tarmac for their support; we look forward to HOYS 2021.”
