JCB has 22 plants on four continents: 11 in the UK and others in India, Brazil, the USA and China. The company employs more than 15,000 people worldwide. Research published by Oxford Economics in 2019 shows that JCB supports 37,000 jobs in the UK and contributes £664 million to the Exchequer and generates £2.3 billion of GDP. In an ambitious move in 2021, privately-owned JCB unveiled its first ever products powered by hydrogen.
