We are delighted to announce Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain have signed a three-year deal to sponsor the Working Hunter of the Year Championship at Horse of the Year Show for 2023 to 2025.
Catherine Burdock from Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain said: “We are really looking forward to working with Grandstand Media and our competitors to keep the Horse of the Year Show Working Hunter Championship as exciting as it has always been since its inception.”
She continues:
“The Working Hunter class is the ultimate test for a Sport Horse. Horses competing as Working Hunters must have all the attributes and manners of a great Show Hunter combined with the athleticism and ability of an outstanding Sport Horse”.

Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain – SHB(GB) – are a membership organisation and registered charity, governed by an elected council. As the leading British studbook, affiliated to the World Breeding Federation for Sports Horses the society;
- encourages the grading of stallions, mares and foals and the registration of progeny of graded horses
- supports British horse breeding through educational clinics and through voucher schemes.
- are a governing body for ridden and in-hand hunter and sport classes held at affiliated horse shows in the UK, including qualifiers for the Horse of the Year Show and the Royal International Horse Show.
