Woody & Buzz dominate the Osborne Refrigerators Double Harness Scurry of the Year Championship

Reigning Champion Alison Osborne gave Saturday night’s Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) audience a thrilling conclusion to the Osborne Refrigerators Double Harness Scurry of the Year Championship. An eye-wateringly fast round with her super ponies, Osborne Refrigerators Woody & Buzz, secured her the title for another year.

Alison didn’t want to win the Championship tonight, she wanted to dominate it, and that’s exactly what she did as the best 10 in the business were ready and raring to battle it out in the ‘World Cup final’ of the world of scurry driving.

Her lightning-fast round was over in just 44.73 seconds, coming out of the box in the fastest time of the week and finishing three whole seconds ahead of their nearest rival.

“That was the fastest I’ve ever been in my life,” exclaimed Alison. “I can’t remember any of it – they [Woody & Buzz] seemed to know the numbers and know where to go!”

If that wasn’t enough to celebrate, Alison also secured second place with her large pair of ponies, Osborne Refrigerators Chip & Dale finishing their round in 47.13 seconds.

An emotional Alison said: “They gave me their hearts out there tonight. All my horses work on kisses and cuddles… any good scurry pony has got to be your friend.”

Jemma Millman was hot on Alison’s heels with Tigger & Owl coming home in 48.17 seconds .
