Supreme Judges announced for HOYS 2019

The chase for the illustrious HOYS qualifiers is soon to get underway and tickets are already on sale for you to book yourself in for another memorable week at The NEC in Birmingham for Horse of the Year Show 2019, 2nd – 6th October. Each year over 1,500 competitors descend on the West-Midlands based venue for their opportunity to compete for the champion of champion’s title.

The ultimate accolade for showing competitors is the Supreme Pony and Supreme Horse of the Year which is decided on the Sunday evening ahead of the Finale. This year’s supreme judges, who will have the honour of choosing the overall supreme champions, will be Tim Price and Terry Court. Tim Price is well-known in the industry and has been involved in Horse of the Year Show in numerous capacities for the last 30 years. Terry Court is renowned for his long-term involvement with Brightwells as a master auctioneer for over 60 years. Both judges have a vast experience in the equestrian industry which they will be able to combine on the night to reach a decision on who will take each of the titles for 2019.

Change in judge

Due to a number of unforeseen circumstances there has been a change of judge for The Binks Family Show Hunter Pony at Horse of the Year Show in October. Rosemary Young OBE will be replacing Anthony Perkins as conformation judge for 2019.
