We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the recent passing of Mr Les Squibb.
Les had been involved in Horse of the Year Show since 1997, where he was instrumental to the decision for the family-owned Squibb Group to sponsor the Pony Foxhunter.
The longstanding contribution to the Pony Foxhunter for over two decades witnessed a number of pony riders who had competed in the Championship go on to achieve great success at a Senior level, and it was a class that Les firmly believed in as he felt it provides such an important foundation for riders.
The commitment and generosity which Les, along with wife Pat, has shown for Horse of the Year Show and for the sport of showjumping is something that we will always be extremely grateful for.
We send our sincere condolences to his wife Pat and to all the Squibb family.
