Horse of the Year Show 2020 Qualifiers Announced

To start the New Year off with a bang, Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) are delighted to announce that the showing qualifiers for the 2020 season have just been added to the HOYS website: hoys.co.uk/competitor-zone/showing-qualifiers

Competitors can now look forward to the nine-month journey ahead with the hopes of being crowned champion at Horse of the Year Show 2020. The show will run from 7th-11th October with a full timetable of Showing classes in the TopSpec Arena and 29 prestigious Showing Championships to contest, ending with the Supreme Championships held in the Andrews Bowen International Arena on the Sunday.

Qualifiers have been awarded to shows up and down the country and take place from March to September 2020, including two additional shows which will be hosting extra qualifiers this year. The Irish Pony Society Championship Show held in Wexford (15th-17th August 2020) is set to host qualifiers for the National Pony Society/Baileys Horse Feeds Mountain & Moorland Connemara Pony of the Year as well as the Thor Atkinson Steel Fabrications Ltd. Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Pony of the Year for the first time. The show will provide Irish competitors with new qualifying opportunities in addition to those available at the Northern Ireland Festival. The Native Breeds Ridden Festival, taking place in Carmarthen (Sunday 31st May), will also host 15 additional Showing Championship qualifiers in its inaugural year.

The Showing Championships celebrate a diverse variety of breeds from Shetlands to Shires, adding to an exciting line up of equestrian entertainment including Showjumping, Scurry Driving, Dressage, displays and much more.
