The Supreme Products Supreme Horse and Pony Championships are the titles all HOYS showing competitors dream of claiming on the closing evening at Horse of the Year Show.
We are delighted to welcome Laura Collett and Edwin Prosser as the Supreme Horse and Pony of the Year Championship judges for 2026.
With the prestigious titles set to be decided in the Andrews Bowen International Arena on the final evening of HOYS, the pair will have the honour of selecting this year’s Supreme Champions from some of the finest horses and ponies in the country.
Laura Collet MBE – is one of Britain’s leading event riders, with success at the highest level of the sport, including two Olympic Team Gold medals (Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024) and individual Olympic Bronze in Paris 2024. Before making her mark in eventing, Laura enjoyed success in the showing world, winning the Supreme Pony Championship at Horse of the Year Show in 2003.
Ahead of HOYS Laura said: Laura Collett MBE said: “Horse of the Year Show holds very special memories for me. Winning the Supreme Pony Championship when I was just 13 was an incredible moment and one I’ll never forget. I know how much it means to qualify for HOYS and to stand in that arena on the final evening. To return all these years later as a Supreme Championship judge is a real honour, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Edwin Prosser – from the Mintfield Stud, brings a wealth of experience from the showing world to this year’s Supreme Championship. An experienced Welsh Pony and Cob judge, Edwin has a strong understanding of the qualities and characteristics that make an exceptional show animal.
Edwin said: “It is a great honour to be invited to judge the Supreme Horse and Pony Championship at Horse of the Year Show. I have very fond memories of judging The Price Family Supreme In-Hand Championship in 2022, so to be asked to return four years later to judge the Supreme is a tremendous honour. It means a great deal to me and everyone at Mintfield Stud, and I’m very much looking forward to being part of such a prestigious championship.”
Laura and Edwin bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, and we look forward to seeing who will ultimately take home one of the most coveted titles in showing.
