Horse of the Year Show Qualifying Story 💜
“Myself and my partner of 15 years, Gigant, have qualified for the NAF Bronze League Final.
“In 2019, my first ever time competing at HOYS, we won the NAF Silver League Final! Then in 2020 he had to have his eye removed, in 2021 I had to have brain surgery, and then in 2023 I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter.
“He had two years out of the ring, and last year we made a comeback and managed to qualify for HOYS again – this time for the NAF Bronze League Championship in which we finished 4th having only jumped 9 classes all year (including HOYS!).
“This year he is now the grand age of 20, and I never expected to qualify again. It means everything to be able to return through those purple curtains, especially as his career is now winding down. He’s the horse that just doesn’t stop giving, and I’m so lucky to have a horse like him. I cannot wait to get back in that ring!!!”
