Double whammy!
Feeling like the luckiest family alive as we drove off the Stoneleigh show ground on cloud 9 after competing at the TSR amateur show with our 3 fantastic ponies and leaving with not one but 2 HOYS tickets! A day that we will remember for a very long time as it was just so special!
Last year we were unlucky with a few things, mainly due to bad luck and novice errors (on my part) we did manage to qualify but it was at times an uphill battle! Fast forward 12 months and what a difference, we have had, what we can only describe as a fantastic season, and double whammy is becoming our phrase of choice for the season! Having won two qualifiers at the same show not once but 4 times, including the TSR show where we were lucky enough to win the LR SP class with Elmswood Spring Fling piloted by our eldest daughter Florence and led by Daddy! A new partnership this year but one that has just clicked and we have very much enjoyed contending these SP classes. A single ticket would have been another dream come true but they made it number two with our LR SHP Penllech Sid, who was pulled top in this class at this show last year but ended up second on equal marks so we really wanted to top last year, they were pulled 3rd but a faultless show were Daddy pulled off his party piece of leading from the wrong side secured us our second win of the morning for our very special SuperSid who has been nothing less than incredible at turning his hoof to show pony after being bought from Breacon Horse Sales in 2022. He loves his job and puts 110% into everything and has given us so many amazing memories as Mr Consistent over the past two seasons. Again ridden by Florence it was a perfect moment watching them being called forward and gaining a second golden ticket, all the hard work we all put in as family is very much paying off and we couldnt be prouder of ourselves!
