“When we first got Omega (Danny) it was to teach me how to ride properly and do the lead rein qualifiers, we got close but never managed to get my ticket, so when I eventually started doing First Ridden’s and open Exmoors was the year I first got my ticket!
“I qualified through the TSR Premier Amateur League and claimed 10th in 2023. He’s 23 now and we still do some bits with him and we decided to go for a trip out with him to NPA Area 4 where he went and won the Junior Small Breeds. He also went reserve champion!
“In that moment of qualifying all I could do was burst out with the happiest of tears. Never in a million years did I think I was going to get that golden ticket but here we are me and my heart pony are going to HOYS.
“I’ve had him for 10 years now so it’s even more special, and to think he’s taken me from lead rein to the opens just shows how much of a dude this pony really is!”
