“I bought Lexi in July last year after spotting her on someone’s Instagram story. I instantly knew she was special, so I sent a message. I was incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to try her before she was officially advertised for sale.
“Lexi had been out of work for some time and hadn’t competed in British Showjumping for three years, so we went right back to basics and started our journey together. From the very beginning, we just clicked.
“For around ten years, I’d qualified for the Bronze or Silver League Semi-Finals with previous horses, but every time I finished on four faults. This was Lexi’s first time qualifying, and she exceeded every expectation.
“Eight combinations made it through to the third round, and I was second to go. The rider before us had a few fences down, so I knew that if we could produce a third clear round, we’d secure a placing.
“Jumping a triple clear to finish 5th in the Bronze League Semi-Final at Northcote Stud is a moment I’ll never forget. Lexi has made a lifelong dream come true. She is the most loyal, talented and scopey little pocket rocket, and she gives me absolutely everything every time we step into the ring. I couldn’t be prouder of her.”
