Horse of the Year Show Large Hack class to be renamed as Culford Lodge Commodities

Horse of the Year Show Large Hack class to be renamed as Culford Lodge Commodities

The Large Hack class at Horse of the Year Show 2021 is to be renamed as Culford Lodge Commodities Large Hack of the Year, with the Stennett family continuing their alignment with this prestigious class.

David Stennett, who previously sponsored the Large Hack, sadly passed away in December last year.  In honour of David’s support and the happiness and memories that have been shared at the show, Lucy Cameron, daughter of David, and the Stennett family maintain their sponsorship moving forward with the name ‘Culford Lodge Commodities’.

The Hack of the Year Championship was one of the original classes at the very first Horse of the Year Show back in 1949.  In 2021, the Large Hack of the Year and the Small Hack of the Year, take place in the Andrews Bowen International Arena on Thursday 7th October, with the champion and reserve champion from each going forward to the Topham Barnes Hack of the Year Championship later the same evening.

On behalf of the Stennett family, Lucy commented: “Culford Lodge Commodities and The Stennett family are delighted to be sponsoring HOYS again this year. This is an event that brought my father much happiness as it does for everyone who attends or takes part. Through our sponsorship we see it as a way of giving something back to the sport that we love so much and enjoy year after year.”

Event Director Emma Williams commented: “We are extremely grateful to The Stennett family for their generous sponsorship of this class. It is a class that carry’s so much heritage and prestige, and the welcome support that the Stennett family have shown, not just this year, throughout the years is truly appreciated by us and the competitors.”

Horse of the Year Show takes place from 6th – 10th October 2021 at The NEC, Birmingham, bringing together another year of breath-taking displays and unbeatable competition.
