“Zippy and I have been a team for eight years, and honestly, I think we’ve been through it all. From the early days when he was just a gangly five-year-old who was still finding his feet, to securing the 1.05m champion title for two years running at the British Showjumping Championships.
“It’s been a bit of a wild ride, but it hasn’t always been easy. We had a whole year of falls and eliminations, and a fight to get our confidence back, but after every stumble, we built each other back up, and now we are closer than ever.
“Since we’ve qualified for the NAF Bronze League Final, looking back at our journey makes me realise just how far we’ve come. Zippy is my partner, teammate, and best friend, we both know each other inside and out. He has a mind of his own and is an incredibly quirky, and often difficult ride, but that only makes him all the more special.
“No matter what the finals throw at us, I know we’ll tackle this next challenge exactly the way we’ve tackled every hurdle for the last eight years: together.”
