Harry’s Story

Horse of the Year Show Qualifying Story 💜

“Harry was a starved and beaten cruelty case from Ireland, he was bought by a dealer from Cheshire and brought to England at the end of 2018, where he was conditioned broken and sold.

“After tracing the lady who bought him from the dealer in Cheshire who explained why she passed him to the sales livery yard to sell on her behalf, the reason was due to him being very sharp and he bolted with her, on several occasions where she came off him. And after a hard decision she sent him to Laura Wells sales livery in Stafford, which was where I found him, on 22nd May 2021 and fell for him in.

“He was collected by Victoria Steele from Point 2 Point horse transport and this is where our journey begins, and what a journey.

“He was nervous and anxious about absolutely everything, loud noises, men, cars, everything even now everything has to be taken slowly and at Harry’s pace.

“He takes confidence from his handler / rider, he is never ridden with a stick or spurs he responds to the voice.
I now hire Vicky from Point 2 Point transport to drive him, because since the very first time Vicky loaded him, he will not load for anyone else, So Vicky also grooms for us at shows.

“He started Showing in 2022, and has surpassed my expectations and my goal was to get Harry to HOYS, with the start in life that Harry had and everything that he has overcome Harry deserves it, he is so genuine, and through Harry I now have a wonderful friend in Vicky .

“He is my horse of a lifetime.

“Harry owes me nothing, but I owe Harry everything.

Siobhan Dallaway and Dream On Harry qualified for the SEIB Search for a Star Show Cob & Maxi Cob of the Year at the Wiltshire Spring Show.
