Competing at Horse of the Year Show, “The World’s Most Famous Horse Show”, is widely regarded as the pinnacle of achievement in the equestrian world. It is a goal to which all owners and riders aspire.

During Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), 29 Championship classes cover the most popular of British breeds and types, with the respective Champions going forward to contest for the Show’s most prestigious titles, the Supreme Horse of the Year and Supreme Pony of the Year.

Qualifying classes are held up and down the country between March and September each year. Tens of thousands of competitors set out each year to gain a coveted finalist place for HOYS, yet only 1% make it. Visitors to the show can be assured that the horses and riders standing before them will be some of the most talented in the UK.

The dedicated showing area at HOYS, the TopSpec Arena, is located in Hall 2 of the NEC. Visitors can shop at leisure in The Retail Village and never be too far from the action. Access to the TopSpec Arena and The Retail Village is subject to capacity at all times.
