Grandstand Group, organiser of Horse of the Year Show, is currently recruiting for an administration/events assistant that will principally be based within the Head Office at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. Additionally, the applicant will be required, along with other company personnel (at the expense of the company) to be based at the NEC Birmingham for 2.5 weeks in October.

The contract will run until Friday 17th October 2014.

Requirements:

  • Computer Literate – MS Word, Excel and Publisher essential
  • Good telephone manner
  • Flexible approach to working
  • Able to work within a team and use own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time keeping essential

Duties:

  • General administration and filing for the operations department
  • Research of infrastructure
  • Dealing with contractors and public during build up, breakdown and running of the event
  • Dealing with contractor administration
  • Site inspections

Location:

  • Mainly based at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, however you will be required to work off site and stay away from home during events.
  • You may be required to travel to meetings and site visits etc 

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
  • A minimum of 6 weekend days will be required
  • The applicant must understand the requirement for extra hours (within the basic salary contract) both prior to and during the event.

Salary

  • £16,000 pro rata
