The speedy little ponies who race around a twisty, testing course of cones, are always a major crowd pleaser at Horse of the Year Show, and this year was no exception. With the benefit of a later draw in the order, Jemma used the agility and power of her athletic Welsh ponies to swiftly navigate her way round the track.

Despite a late charge from last year’s winner – Charlotte Adams-Lane (Balanced Horse Feeds Chaz and Dave) – who finished eventual third, Jemma clinched victory in front of a packed house at Birmingham’s NEC.

"I don't think there are words to explain what it means to win here," said a delighted Jemma.

"The crowds are always amazing here, and the ponies are little superstars.

"We work so hard to get to the Horse of the Year Show, training as much as we possibly can, and I am just so delighted."
