Hoys_RGB_new_logo.jpgWe are seeking an Assistant to work with in the Company’s Marketing and PR department on projects including the National Agricultural & Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh venue, Horse of the Year Show and the British Showjumping National Championships.

The Applicant will be based at the Company’s Head Office located at the NAEC, Stoneleigh (Warwickshire).

Requirements:
A large proportion of the role will be working on a number of event projects, therefore knowledge of marketing within the events industry would be useful, along with the following:
• Degree level education, or a minimum of 3 years marketing experience in similar industry
• Computer literate – MS Word and Excel essential. A basic knowledge of Adobe design suites would be advantageous but not essential
• Ability to “think outside of the box” and work under pressure
• Be able to work within a team environment as well as to use own initiative where necessary
• Provide accurate briefs and ongoing management of third party suppliers
• Excellent communication skills
• Good time keeping essential
• Excellent English/writing skills
• An understanding of the Equine industry, whilst not essential, would be advantageous.

Duties:
The role will report directly to the Marketing Manager and be expected to support the Marketing Team with various duties including:
• Assisting in design & printing of marketing collateral for all projects
• Social Media monitoring
• Website Maintenance for all sites
• Social Media Monitoring
• Mail outs, data capture & administration
• Distribution of marketing literature and adverts
• Implementation, review and administration of competitions
• Handling telephone and email enquiries from press and public
• Maintaining the press group data within the Grandstand database
• Press Accreditation for events
• Proof reading
• Creative input with all projects both new and existing
• Newsletters (both internal and external) creation and distribution
• Media monitoring and filing
• Managing invoices, purchase orders and accounts

Hours of Work:
• Monday-Friday inclusive 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
• Working at events may require a minimum of 8 weekend days
• The applicant must understand the requirement for extra hours (within the basic salary contract) both prior to and during the Events.

Salary
• Starting salary from £22,000 - £24,500 per annum (dependant on experience).
