Entries to this year’s Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) Qualifying Stories competition are now being accepted. Thousands of competitors set out each year in a bid to gain their HOYS ticket, yet less than 1% makes it. This hugely popular contest sets out to find the best story of HOYS qualification from the current season.

The rules are quite simple. Competitors who are lucky enough to have qualified for the Show are invited to write a story about themselves and their horse or pony, describing the qualifying journey they took together. These are published, along with a photo, on the HOYS website where visitors can then vote for their favourite. The story with the most votes at the end of the season wins!
