Tagg.jpgFollowing a season of intense competition, the winners of the Tagg La Liga Awards series, for consistency shown in Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) showing qualifiers held around the country, can now been revealed.

Not all of this year’s winners have qualified to compete at this year’s Show, taking place from 8th – 12th October at the NEC, Birmingham, but the Tagg La Liga Award series rewards them for excelling in pursuit of a ticket to “The World’s Most Famous Horse Show”. This year’s 54 Tagg La Liga winners will each receive a certificate in recognition of their win, along with a specially branded rug.

Eight of this year’s winners have held on to a Tagg La Liga title from 2013, proving an impressive run of consistency across two consecutive seasons.

The results are given via league tables for each class. Every time a horse or pony is placed first to fifth in a qualifying class, the result is recorded by the Grandstand Online Entries System. These are then converted to points – five points for first place, down to one point for fifth place – which count towards each corresponding award.

Managing Director of Grandstand Media Ltd, organiser of Horse of the Year Show, Helena Pettit said: “Following the introduction of the award series two years ago, we are now able to get a real sense of how competitors consistently give their all throughout the season. It is fantastic to see that eight of this year’s winners have held onto their titles, and I am delighted that the hard work of this year’s winners has not gone unnoticed.”
